Mom's Chinese Birthday Party

Well, this happened a while ago but I thought I would share our fun experience with everyone! So for my Mom's 63rd birthday I decided I wanted to do something different, so I decided to throw her a Chinese Birthday Party! It was crazy fun! My friend threw a late Chinese New Year Party and a cute little Chinese lady she knew helped her, so I got her recipes and went to work. Of course there was food coming out our eyes!!! That's what always happens when you put Angela in charge of food! Pretty sure we could have fed quite a large army! :-) So we made homemade dumplings, spring rolls, sweet and sour chicken, orange chicken, fried rice, almond jello, oriental chicken salad, ginger teriyaki chicken on skewers, and chow mein. It was insane making it all, but tons of fun, and I'm glad we did something fun for our good old Mom. While Marcy and I were looking Chad was in charge of decorating! Yay Chad!! It was a super fun night!!
Of course I got my Mom huge chopsticks as a joke and she just worked it out and used them like it was no big deal!! She's a tough little cookie!
As you can imagine I was busy cooking for the Pehrson army so didn't take many pictures so this is all I have of Chad's lovely decorating job!

She's so cute!

SO FUNNY! I was teaching everyone how to do the Doug Heffernen hand noise and my Dad was determined to get it and once he did it was hilarious because he was so proud of himself!! Wow, what a night!

K, so I totally need to get those recipes from you! Obviously no rush, cause unfortunately I can't eat Chinese! Sad day!

It was an amazing Chinese Birthday party. Thank you for all your hard work and great ideas. Angela is insane when she gets and idea and sets her mind to something. We could have fed all of Woodland Hills and it was like professional Chinese food.
However that doesn't give you permission to post my stupid photo without permission.
