Merry Christmas

Although I have done the shopping, put up the decorations, wrapped the presents and listened to the music this year I really didn't get into it...until Monday that is...we had an adult night went to a Christmas Carol at Hale Center Theater. In all my years :-) and all the times I have sang the song "God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman" I never thought about the words. When they started to sing it I totally broke down crying...shocking I know! A couple of the verses really hit me hard and I just wanted to share as a reminder of what Christmas is all about. Merry Christmas everyone we love you!

God rest ye merry, gentlemen
Let nothing you dismay
Remember, Christ, our Saviour
Was born on Christmas day
To save us all from Satan's power
When we were gone astray
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Comfort and joy
O tiding of comfort and joy
"Fear not then," said the Angel,
"Let nothing you affright,
This day is born a Saviour
Of a pure Virgin bright,
To free all though who trust in Him
From Satan's power and might."
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Comfort and joy
O tidings of comfort and joy

Taylei's First Birthday

We decided to get rid of our internet at home because we both have access to it at work, we hardly ever use it at home anyway, and it saves us a good chunk of money. Well, one downfall is my pictures are on the computer at home. ANYWAY, I went to put some of Taylei's party on my jump drive and I can't find it. So I have a bunch of really cute pictures of her fun birthday but for now it will just have to wait I guess.

Anyway, Happy 1st Birthday Taylei! We love you! And a shout out to Traci because everything looked awesome! Way to go, we love you guys!

Happy 4th of July

We had such a great 4th of July and got to spend lots of time with Kylie, Eric, and little Miss Hallie Mae! Again, I didn't take any pictures, but I'll steal some if I can :-). Friday Eric and I went to give our life juices for money but I was "indefinately denied" until I come off one of my meds. Either way Eric was nice enough to share his dough and me and Kylie just spent the day hanging out and playing. Chad was helping his dad with his High School Reunion Golf Tournament, but got to play with Eric and continued coaching him on his golf swing. We are all going to be pros soon!

Saturday evening we went to the Patterson's and played Volleyball and hung out at the park, had some yummy pizza, and of course watched fireworks. Hallie LOVED them it was so cute! It was tons of fun. Thanks Bob and Lori for having us over, and thanks to Eric for entertaining my husband! :-) Kylie and Hallie, you know I love you!! Hallie...keep working on blowing kisses, I love you little monster!

The Pehrson Clan

This past week we have been able to spend time with my brother and his cute family. We haven't seen them in almost 3 years and it was so great to spend time with them. It's always bitter sweet because you know at some point they have to leave but it has been so wonderful having them here! This was the first time most of the family had met Tyler and Kylee. They are almost 8 months old and SOO stinking cute and way too much fun! Shayla and Dallan have grown up so much I can hardly believe it. I never knew Kassidy and Addelyn very well because they were away when they were born, but we all love them and they are way too fun! What a great family, they are all so wonderful!!

I pulled out my camera numerous times to take pictures to share and of course I had taken the memory card out and keep forgetting to put it back in. :-/ This means that I actually don't have any pictures, but I will be sure to steal them from everyone and share what I can find because they are all SO cute!

When we left my parents Sunday night I was getting hugs from everyone because I wasn't sure if I would see them again before they left. When I told Shayla that, she looked at me and simply replied, "Of course you'll see me, we'll be back in three years!" and she ran off to play. :-) What a cute girl. We have had so much fun with you guys and if we don't see you before you head out...love you, and see you in three years!

P.S. Shelly, I don't know how you do it, but keep up the good work you ROCK!!!

Connor's 3rd Birthday

On a happier note...today we celebrated Connor's 3rd birthday! I can't believe he's already 3 years old. He's such a sweet boy and I just love him to death! We are so thankful to have him in our family! Happy Birthday ConMan!!!!
By request of the Prince it was a Cars themed birthday party. And everyting was great! Thanks Amy and Lonny!

Victoria had to go to the bathroom and not long after Connor came out of the house yelling for Mom. Of course he suddenly had to go as well. I told him I would take him and we ran to the bathroom. Because Victoria was in there I told him he would have to hold it. So I showed him how to squeeze his legs together and scruncy up his face so he could hold it. (Somehow, I know this helps!) I kept telling him to hold it and one time I said, "Good job Connor, squeezy your cheeks." He dropped the previous pose, threw his hands to his face and did just what I told him to do, he was "squeezing his cheeks". When he did this I just about died of laughter. Later, Amy saw him "squeezing his cheeks" and asked what he was doing. When we explained what happened at the bathroom everyone bust us laughing and of course he was more than willing to once again demonstrate his newly developed skill!! :-) Love you Connor, thank you for always making us smile no matter how crappy a day we had!!!

What do you do when...

You feel like you'll never be enough.
You feel like you aren't worth a thing.
You try and try and still fall on your ass time and time again.
You feel like you have something to prove.
You finally feel like you have made progress, but prove to be mistaken.

Presenting Greg & Brittany Lambert...

Friday, May 22, 2009 Brittany and Greg were sealed together in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple for time and all eternity! I met Brittany when I worked at the hospital. We actually started at the same time and went through orientation together. Brittany is one of the most amazing people in the world and I am so happy that she finally found someone who deserves her!
Aren't they so stinking cute!?
It was the PERFECT day out side and it wasn't crowded at all.

Look how happy they are!

Angela & Angie -- Brittany's two best buddies!

Isn't he HANDSOM!? He was so patient while I ran around crazy with my camera taking pictures. :-)

Of course I had to get a picture with the beautiful bride!

Greg and Brittany at the luncheon. It was at North Hampton House and everything was gorgeous!

I loved their center pieces, sorry the picture doesn't give them justice.

Their reception was also at the North Hampton House. They did the cake, decorations, and catering, it was a amazing!

Notice how they are using forks!! WHAT?! Don't worry I put my money on Brittany and of course she didn't let me down. When he was least expecting it she grabbed a handful of cake and crammed it in his face! Way to go girl!!! I knew you wouldn't let me down!

The bride and grooms first dance to "Can't Help Falling In Love". It was so sweet. Congratulations you guys we love you!!!

The Climb

Please forgive me. I can honestly say I have never, nor do I now, like Miley Cyrus in any way, HOWEVER, I love the words to her new song. I have a really hard time hearing her sing it, but the words are what I need to remember right now. Life is hard!! But the trials we go through that we are sure are useless and we want to give up...there's a reason for it. Looking back we will realize just how much we learned from our 'climb'.
**Remember...no matter what you are going through you can do it, and you will make it through and will be better off because of it!

Here are the lyrics:

I can almost see it
That dream I'm dreaming but
There's a voice inside my head sayin,
You'll never reach it,
Every step I'm taking,
Every move I make feels
Lost with no direction
My faith is shaking but I
Got to keep trying
Got to keep my head held high

There's always going to be another mountain
I'm always going to want to make it move
Always going to be an uphill battle,
Sometimes I'm gonna to have to lose,
Ain't about how fast I get there,
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb

The struggles I'm facing,
The chances I'm taking
Sometimes might knock me down but
No I'm not breakingI may not know it
But these are the moments that
I'm going to remember most yeah
Just got to keep going
And I,I got to be strong
Just keep pushing on, cause

There's always going to be another mountain
I'm always going to want to make it move
Always going to be an uphill battle,
Sometimes I'm gonna to have to lose,
Ain't about how fast I get there,
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb

There's always going to be another mountain
I'm always going to want to make it move
Always going to be an uphill battle,
Sometimes you going to have to lose,
Ain't about how fast I get there,
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb

Keep on moving
Keep climbing
Keep the faith baby
It's all about
It's all about
The climb
Keep the faith
Keep your faith

End of the Semester

I can’t believe how quickly this semester has flown by. It has been a busy one to say the least, but I have loved it. I have learned SO much this semester. I am finally to the point where all of my classes are applicable and everyday I feel like I am becoming a better teacher. For my class on Exceptional Children we were able to go out into the schools and apply our learning. It was such a great experience to be in a real school setting. I have of course spent time in the BYU Kindergarten and Preschool, but these cannot be considered “real school settings”. If you have been there you know what I mean. They have 4-5 teachers in the classroom at all times, the supplies are limitless, and the children all come from families who value education and want their children to get the best there is to offer. I would kill to have these kinds of classroom demographics, but let’s face it…it won’t happen here in the real world I will surely face. J
I was able to go to Amelia Earhart Elementary and help out in a Kindergarten class. To be entirely honest I was a little nervous that I would fail. I know that sounds horrible, but I knew it would be hard, much harder than I could imagine and I wanted to be ready. After my first day there, I got into my car and started crying, but not for the reason you would think. I called Chad in tears and said, “Honey, I can do this, I know I can! It’s going to be the hardest thing in the world I’m sure, but I KNOW I CAN DO IT, and I want nothing more to get out there and get started.” I could hear him smile over and his response was, “I’m glad you are beginning to see in yourself what everyone else has seen for so long!” GOOD ANSWER BABY!!! J Now I only have two semesters left and then I will hopefully get a job as an intern. I can’t believe how close I am!
I never thought I would say this, but I’m a little sad that this semester is over. Of course there are some classes I will not miss, but I look forward to the semesters ahead as I continue to learn to be a better teacher and person. I know people knock BYU, but I feel so blessed to be able to attend this great University. Where else in the world can you learn the fundamentals of teaching and other secular subjects with insights of the restored gospel. I come to school and leave spiritually edified (and not just from my religion classes)! What an amazing feeling!
I look forward to becoming a teacher more than I can even express! Watch out world here I come!

Happy Valentine's Day

Right up there next to golf is Chad's second love...spoiling me!!! =) I know it's late, but this is part of the reason it's taking me so long to post our vacation pictures...

Remember how I said our camera was shot...well Chad fixed that! This has been an investment he's wanted to make for a long time so when I accidentlly opened my Valentine's present (it really was an accident) he decided there had to be some surprise on the special day!
This was actually my Valentine's gift! Like I said, I am spoiled I know! I love pink sapphires! He did such a good job I am so very blessed!

As soon as I finish downloading software for our new camera and have an hour or two I will post pictures from the cruise.

Vegas Pictures

Ok so, like I said, I didn't hardly have my camera during the trip. Here are some of the pictures I have and some from my Mom and sister's blog. To those of you who have already seen them...sorry!

The family in front of the Coke glass elevator on the strip. This was where my mom got her purse stolen! :-/

Of course we stopped the second my dad saw a Harley store. He just HAD to buy Hope a Harley shirt. When Grandpa gave it to her she was SO excited! It was so cute, she ran up to give him a big hug!!!

This is the only decent picture we have from inside the M&M store. Pretty sweet car! We came out of here so excited because we got a free M&M dispenser, when we shared our enthusiasm they all laughed...you have to spend $45 bucks to get it! HA HA

At MGM they have Lions! It was so cool. There is this little walkway that you can go under and the lions are just hanging out a foot above your face. It's crazy! It was really hard to get awesome pictures of it though.

Freemont Street and the light show! It was AWESOME!!!

My mom has been wanting to go to the driving range with Chad forever, and we finally went. Lacie hit a few balls and did a great job! Hope was such a good little girl and was content just transfering balls from one bucket to another! It was super cute!

Lance also wanted to learn and Chad gave him some of his expert lessons for cheap. Lance did great! Way to go Jack!

My dad also hit a few! He used to play a lot in his younger day, but hurt his back and hasn't for almost 20 years. He did AWESOME! I'm so proud of my cute old dad! :-) Don't worry he doesn't read this...I would be in big trouble if he did!

Marcy, Lacie, and I went to go see Lance Burton! It was nuts...how the freak...that's all I have to say! :-) Anyway, it was tons of fun. Marcy Ray went and sat through the time share shpeel for free tickets and Ray gave his away and we got to go have a girls night! It was tons of fun! Thanks again Ray!!!

It was a super fun trip...now only 3 days until we leave for our cruise!!!! Holla!!!
