Now we wait...

Well, it's official, yesterday I turned in my application for my major in Early Childhood Education! My friend who just got in for this semester said she applied January 15th and got her letter on Valentines day. I guess I can wait that long. When I turned it in I asked the secretary when we should plan to know and she said the faculty are aiming for no later than the end of October. So now we wait!!! I will let you all know when the letter comes, I'm nervous but SUPER excited too!!

A potentially awkward situation...

So, I was in my Humanities class today and the teacher writes the word "oracle" up on the board. She asks if any of us know what it is. I'm glance up, see the word, congratulate myself in my mind that I know the answer and look back to my notes. No one raised their hand, so she asked again. I thought this was a great time to capitalize on the moment so I raised my hand. Luckily, I wasn't called onhowever...as the student told what an oracle was, I looked up at the word again and realize I totally was thinking "orgy"! WOW!!!! That could have been exceptionally awkward. I'm pretty sure after that I would never show my face again in class. But again I guess I can congratulate myself for knowing what THAT means, because if it ever comes up in class I'm sure I would be the only one stupid enough to answer the question! You can bet that I will be thinking a lot harder before my hand goes up in the air in class!

Back to School

So today was the big First Day of School, well, at least of this semester anyway. I am acually really excited however, after only one day of class I know that it is going to be a rough semester, yet somehow I am still excited. This is my last semester of generals I will ever have to take, and I am also taking some classes just for fun, so I really am looking forward to this semester and the ones to come. As Amy pointed out, the best part of this Fall season and going back to school is FOOTBALL!!!!!! YAY!!!!! GO COUGARS....GO EAGLES...and for Amy's sake what the heck, go Vols. Football will carry us through the semester!To all those who paid their time, I salute you, and to those still trudgin' good luck to ya! There is an end somewhere, just someone please remind ME when I'm not quite so enthusiastic about it!
