Adventures from the Nuttall Campout

So this past weekend we went with Chad's family camping up at Wasatch in Midway. We went up Thursday evening setup, and of course, Dad made his famous steak and potatoes. The next morning we had tee times bright and early. Dad, Lance, Tony, Jonathan, Russ, Chad, Ross, & Trina played (I just rode along and did the documenting.) Kristi & Tai also rode along for the first nine holes. It was so fun to see Tai on the golf course.

This is our cute little tent. Don't be decieved it's actually not nearly as comfortable as it looks. We have been using an air matress we got for our wedding and it has a leak so we basically just slept on the concrete...that was fun!

Isn't Tai just the cutest little golfer?! He didn't last very long with everyone telling him to hold perfectly still, and not to talk, but he still had a good time.

Tai & Mom hanging out in the cart trying not to freeze.

One of the super exciting things that day was my incredible drive!! I took a swing at the ball, dipped my shoulder down and then of course lifted up just in time to see my tee flying however my ball looked like it never moved...that my friends is talent!!! Yes ladies and gentleman I will be here all week!

On my second most incredible drive I nailed the ball and looked up to see where it went (terrible I know, I have no patience whatsoever). I was sure it was going to be an amazing drive! It went soaring high into the air...

and landed 4 feet infront of me! Like I said I have crazy skills! So my belief that getting my own set of golf clubs would somehow make me amazing was totally right on!!! I am totally awesome, just not exactly how I planned, but hey i'll take what I can get! :-)

Since the first time I went on the back nine of the mountain course hole #16 has been my favorite. The tee boxes are like steps down the mountain and I would lay between them and listen to the balls shooting over my head. It's awesome I love it! However, this hole is now even more awesome! As we were driving up the hill to the green, Russ rammed our cart and Chad swerved, ran over the curb and we got high centered. Ok so I was laughing so incredibly hard!

So while the boys are trying to figure out how to fix it I jump out laughing and pulling out my camera telling them I must have a picture and not to move anything!!!

Russ then decided it would be a good idea to again bash the cart and knock it off the curb. Although ultimately unsuccessful - I was throughly entertained!

Well, we are getting closer after Russ picked it up. He made it look so easy I couldn't figure out why that wasn't the first attempt...definately not as cool and ramming it until it becomes "unstuck".

After much effort our little golf cart was saved! I must confess though I was a little disappointed because I was having so much fun laughing at the whole situation.

They finished hole #16 and coming down the hill to the next hole Trina was driving dad and went around the corner and she went flying out of the cart. Somehow she didn't fall though she ran along side the cart until she could jump back in. It was very impressive! Go Bean!

After golf we all went shopping in Park City...Sweeeet!
Saturday we were planning on going to the lake and renting wave runners but we were rained out so Ross, Chad and I went and played 9 holes of golf. There was this little boy and his dad who joined us. The boy was 9 years old and he was exactly how I imagined Chad at that age. He was SO good. Probably like 88 times better than me!

9 years old can you believe it?!
It was a really fun weekend! Thank you everyone who contributed!

Hey Angela. This is Rachel Hale. I found your blog through Lisa's as well. I have tried to pick up the golfing thing for the past 4 years and I still can't manage to hit a ball 50 yards. It's fun to see what you're up to.

Hey Angela, I can't believe you got bit by a sting rays calcium deposits. I wouldn't have been comforted by the worker telling you they only have calcium deposits, not teeth. Calcium deposits would hurt just as bad!!! I'm so glad that you had such a fun time camping. But since when did camping include GOLFING??? I guess that's how it goes with the Nuttal's!
